4th of July

This is I think the 3rd year we have been in Sacramento for the 4th. It is fun to escape our heat and be with family.

We started the day with Red, White and Blue pancakes for breakfast.

The kids all played at Sherrie’s house during the morning and we slowly got ready for the day.

Then we headed to Wallace’s for the big family BBQ.

It was fun playing games, swimming, eating snow cones, visiting with family and of course FIREWORKS.

Brandon was a favorite with the younger crowd that night. Mitchell spent about an hour on Brandon’s lap watching a movie and just hanging out. Then while we were waiting for fireworks to start, Bob’s cousin Matt’s little boy JJ came over and sat next to Brandon, he slowly moved to Brandon’s lap and watched all the fireworks with Brandon.

As the night ended we were able to catch the big firework show down at the the park. Rachel, Claire and Kate watched it from up on Grandpas truck. They had the best seat in the house.
