Scout Camp

Bob and Brandon returned home from scout camp yesterday. They were tired and really dirty, but they had a ton of fun. Bob was able to go the whole week. He and another leader from our ward taught the Camping Merit Badge all week.

This encampment was put on by our stake and they had lots of fun activities, and competitions for the boys along with their merit badges.

Brandon worked on Rifle Shooting, Sculpture, Canoeing, and Camping. They also had a list of things to do before camp in order to earn a knife. So he also earned a knife - the handle is an elk horn.

One of the competitions the ward competed in was to build a catapult. Our boys under Bob's direction built a trebuchet. They won 3rd place overall. They said it launched higher than any others. All of the pictures are from the 'Man Up' competition they had on Friday(before the rain).

It rained the last night up there, and Bob's tent was apparently not waterproof, so he ended up sleeping in the van the last night. And came home with EVERYTHING he brought WET.

Oh how boys camp is different from girls camp. Good times for them.
