Happy St. Patrick's Day!! We were surprised this morning with a green table, and a basket of green goodies.

To keep the celebrations going we had Green Eggs and Ham, and green milk for breakfast.
We had a water fight with our green water balloons, played outside and had a green dinner.
dinner consisted of meatloaf ( not green), green mashed potatoes, broccoli, green pudding, and for dessert- cupcakes with green frosting.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!!! We welcomed 2010 here at home nice and quiet!
That afternoon Brandon got a chance to go to the Insight Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium with some other boys from church. After passing out the promotional giveaway they got to go enjoy the game.

We celebrated the new year a little early(7:30-ish) so Rachel could celebrate with us!!!

She loved all of the confetti poppers that we did and every time we shot one off and yelled "Happy New Year", she raised her hands above her head and then clapped!!!(this is the same as her touchdown dance when she watches football with Bob and Brandon)

After Rachel was done we had a friendly game of Electronic Monopoly-which Debbie won!! Then watched a movie until it was time to ring in the New Year.

The next morning Bob and I took off for a 15th Anniversary get-away (a couple days after our actual anniversary). Thanks to Aunt Cathy for coming to stay the night with the kiddos. It was so nice to get away.

When we got home we took the kids up to the park to launch rockets. We only had one land in the lake! (and this time, none on the freeway or other roads).

2009 has had some serious highs and some lows also; we have many great memories. We have been very blessed.
Here's to 2010- may it bring many more fun times together with family and friends!!!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Of which I took NO pictures. I had the camera in my bag, but never took it out.
We were able to join with Bob's Uncle John and Aunt Linda's family.
We had a yummy dinner despite a few set backs! About a half hour before everyone was set to arrive, there was a car accident near by and they lost all the power. They didn't know when it would be back up, so we relocated to Chandler-Gilbert Community College here in town. Uncle John runs the cafeteria there, so he opened it up and finished cooking and we ate there.
It was fun to visit with them, even though we all live so close we haven't seen some of them in over a year.
The rest of the weekend was spend enjoying the weather, shopping and decorating of Christmas.

4th of July

Today started out early for my sister and I. The town of Elk Grove has an annual 5K and 10K fun run. Sherrie and I did the 5K. I have to say I am pretty proud of myself. I am not a runner at all and am embarrassed to say I haven't done much of anything since Rachel was born. The weather was beautiful, and we made decent time.
We then headed over to Bob's parents for the family BBQ and fireworks. Every year anyone who is here gathers at the Wallace's for BBQ, Great-Grandpa's snow cones, the splash contest in the pool, and fireworks.
For some reason I didn't take many pictures today. Here are the few I took.

Rachel loved the fireworks!! All my other kids have not been too sure of the fireworks the first time. She loved it!!!

Happy St.Patrick's Day!!

Tonight for dinner we got into the St.Patrick's Day spirit.
We had green chili enchiladas(with green filling too), green jello, green pudding, green milk, zucchini, and kiwi. With green cupcakes for dessert. I think I went through almost a whole bottle of food coloring.

Rachel was so cute today that we just had to add a picture of her too :)
