The creek near the camp site
Friday night the boys headed up near Pine for the Father and Son camp out. They had a lot of fun even though it was really cold that night. Before they came home they went to the Tonto Natural Bridge and did some hiking. The all make it home tired, dirty, and in one piece.

Crazy Hair Day
This week at school they had spirit week.
They had crazy sock day, backward day, tie day, wear red day, and today CRAZY HAIR day.
Ethan has been looking forward to today all week. There isn't much you can do with boys hair, but here are our attempts.
Or in Zachary's case- not so crazy hair just extra gel!!!

Bitter Sweet
So today class lists went up and I can't deny it any more. School starts next week. :(
I am one of those "weird" moms who actually enjoys summer and having the kids home. I love having no real schedule, hanging out all day together and having friends over. It also helps that for the most part they like each other and get along really well.
I am excited for them to start a new school year, and to learn and grow, but I am sure going to miss having them here all day.

Laughter is in the air......

Last night the show Wipeout came back on for the summer, and my boys couldn't be happier.
What is it about boys that they love to see people get hit, fall and make fools of themselves?

School's Out For the Summer....
Well almost! Brandon finished 6th grade and Zachary finished 4th grade yesterday and Ethan will finish next Wednesday!(He is at a different school this year)
It has been a great year, but bring on summer!
I am so excited for summer!
Not only am I tired of homework, and getting up early, I have to admit I enjoy having my kids around!!
We don't have much planned yet, due to Bob being off work so long, but hopefully we will be able to have some fun here in AZ and squeeze in a trip to California to visit the family!!
Happy Summer Vacation!

Star Wars Video
A friend had this video on her facebook page. I showed it to the boys and they keep singing it now. They thought it was so cute we had to share it too.

Boys!
Today while I was putting away the Christmas decorations and taking down the tree, the boys were putting up something of their own.
I thought it was a little quiet up there, and they were getting along really well. But I wasn't about to tempt fate and see what was going on.
I was very surprised when I did go up and this is what I found.

They are having so much fun and getting along so well, I think I will leave it up forever!!! (Well at least until tomorrow).

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween everyone.

The boys got to dress up twice this week. For our ward Trunk or Treat last night and then again tonight to go around the neighborhood.
Brandon was a Karate Master, Zachary was Batman and Ethan was Robin.

It has been so cute this week. Ethan has been referring to himself as Zachary's sidekick!!!
Hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween.

Family Weekend
This weekend we had one last family weekend before our new arrival comes. We had been planning a trip to Flagstaff, but at the last minute that didn't happen. So to ease the boys disappointment we had a "stay home" vacation weekend. (Thanks for the idea Aunt Sherrie).
On Saturday after Brandon got home from his scout camp out, we headed out to the Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park. We have heard about it and seen the commercials for years, always saying we should try it out. It was really neat, and the weather was the best ever!!!! They have a ton of animals and they were easy to see and were awake!! If you've ever been to Phoenix Zoo you know what a challenge it can be to see the animals sometimes. They kids got to feed birds, giraffes, goats and deer.
On the way home that night we went to Organ Stop Pizza for dinner. Ethan has been asking to go forever. (He thought it was in California since it seems like we only go when someone is here visiting!) As luck would have it the newspaper did an article about it in Saturday's paper so it was really busy, but still fun as always.
After a stop at Dairy Queen, the boys had a camp out in the loft!!!

Build a Bear
Today the I took the boys to Build a Bear to make a bear for the baby.
We did this when Ethan was born and he still has it.
After much debate they chose a dog. They put ribbons on the ears to match the shirt so I looks more like a rabbit in the picture. They stuffed it, and each got to put a heart inside. It was really sweet. They picked out the shirt and everything together.
Here is the finished product, with the proud big brothers!!!! She is going to be one lucky girl.

Father Son Campout
The boys went on the Father-Son's campout up this weekend. It was near Young. The weather was about 20 degrees cooler than the valley. This picture is on the mountain that we climbed to the top of. The boys had fun playing with their friends, although they all came back with scratches and splinters. Everyone got really dirty too. Zachary got lost on the way to the port-a-potty at 3AM, and luckily stumbled into the campsite of the teenage boys who were still up and they helped him find his way back. Bob didn't find out about it until morning because Zachary didn't want to bother anyone by waking them up. He kept a pretty cool head about it, but hopefully he'll not loose a desire to camp again.
