At church right now I am in Activity Days. I work with the 8-11 year old girls. For a recent activity we had an old school game night. We taught them how to play marbles, pickup sticks, jacks and Chinese jump-rope. I was able to bring and extra jump-rope and pick up sticks home. So Sunday afternoon the kids had fun playing with all of these cool “new” games I brought home.
Ethan and Rachel LOVED the jump-rope.Zachary got tired of it really fast so then I spent the rest of the afternoon sitting on the couch with my book and letting them use my legs to hold one side. They also played pick up sticks and marbles, but they didn’t last very long.
I love it when my kids discover something that I loved to do as a kid.
