Tonight we had an early family birthday celebration for Rachel. I will be out of town on her actual birthday(Friday). This was the only night all week we were all home for a major part of the evening. So she got an early birthday this year!
We had a nice dinner, opened presents and had cake and ice cream!!
Now as I write this Rachel is happily playing with all of her new toys!! (The other reason to celebrate early- so that she has new toys to keep her busy while mom is gone)
It was a little reminiscent of the night of her birth with all the election results coming in on TV. All night long as we waited for her to make her arrival all we had to watch was election results!!
