Today we spent the day at Temple Square. Here is our very windy family picture at the Salt Lake Temple.
We started the day by taking in the 2 visitor centers. The new display at the smaller visitor center is really cool. It is a miniature of the temple with parts cut away so you can see inside. You can see things you wouldn't normally see like the assembly hall, and the room the the First Presidency and the Apostles all meet.
It was so cute as we were walking down the ramp to leave here. Rachel turned around an yelled and waved, "Bye Jesus".
We then walked around the temple itself, and over to the church office building. I have never taken the elevator up to the observation deck. It was really neat. The view was amazing. Here are 2 pictures we took up there.
Since it was Debbie's birthday the kids were nice enough to let her pick where to go to lunch. So off we headed to the Lion House. It was SO GOOD. We all got something different and everything was delicious.
We also shared a piece of cake for dessert!
Then it was off to the Church History Museum. The kids had fun looking at things, got to make a pioneer toy, and Rachel loved the primary area.
