Mini Mission

Our stake had the chance to participate in Mini Missions this weekend. Brandon was so excited to go and live with the missionaries this weekend.

We met up on Friday afternoon with other youth from our stake and they were paired up with missionaries. 

After a brief talk from our Stake President and another from the mission president, they were off.

We picked him up Sunday night after we were able to hear from all the youth involved and some of the experiences they had.

It was a great experience for him and he is even more excited to get his call now.

Eagle Board of Review

This has been a big week for Zachary and it continued tonight.

Tonight was Zachary’s Eagle Board of Review, and we now have a new Eagle Scout in our house.

He has enough merit badges to earn his first eagle palm. He just needs to apply in 3 months. They encouraged him to keep working and earn as many as he can.

Allergy Testing

So our pediatrician wanted Zachary to get allergy tested after all the sickness he had earlier in the year. It took us a while to get in, but today was the day.

Well this was taken after only 10 minutes and he had about 5 more to go.

He had some of the worst reactions they had seen.

So we changed up some of his medicines. They tried to get us to do shots, but Zach wants nothing to do with it. He HATES shots.

Birthday Boy

After a rough start to the year, it’s great to see this boy happy and smiling and healthy.

Easter

So we had a funny thing happen with our eggs this year. I boiled our eggs and put them in the fridge until we were read to do them. Ethan and Rachel got everything ready this year. As they finished their decorating I got in the fridge to get something. They had colored the regular eggs, the hard boiled were still in the fridge! They didn’t drop even one, so we had no idea.

Easter morning started with baskets and egg hunts.

Since it was also General Conference weekend we did our conference donuts for breakfast then spent the day listening to the prophet and other church leaders.

Trip to the Farm

I was able to go with Rachel’s kindergarten class to Verticio Farm for their fieldtrip.

It was a fun day, we learned about animals, how plants grow, got to play on all the fun stuff they had, and best of all ride on a bus!

Our group was Rachel, Kaytlyn M., Katherine, and Fara. They were a good group and listened and stayed together really well.

They had a lot of fun and were so tired at the end of the day.
