Powder Puff Football

Tonight Brandon was a cheerleader for the Homecoming Powder-Puff game. He had a blast even though the juniors wiped the field with the seniors.

Cardinals game

Bob got to tickets to the Cardinals game tonight. After the storms today, the flooding and power outages and not knowing what the evening might hold, I let Ethan take my ticket.

He was so excited to go to his first football game. He even had me email his teacher a picture, since she told them to all watch the game for homework!!

Crazy Storm

Woke up at 4:40 this morning to out power out. I had been listening to it rain since about 12, but didn’t think to much of it. Looks like it went out about 3,but it came back on about 5, so the boys were able to get ready for school without any problems. Just as they were about to leave at 6:15 it went off again.

So we got the other kids ready in the dark and heated up water on the BBQ outside to make oatmeal so they could go to school. Both schools still had power.

This was our yard at 7am, it continued to rain until about 10-11. There was record amounts of rain. Here in Gilbert we got almost 4 inches. Some areas got as much as 5+ inches. Which all came down from about 1am-10am. This is more than we get in a whole year sometimes.

The flooding around the valley was crazy, the worst was the I-10 it was a lake.

This is the park across from the temple, where the kids did cultural celebration. It is crazy!!! The water is just flowing into there. It was at least a foot deep across the whole thing!! It took almost a week for it to drain.

We didn’t have any flooding here at our house, but we did get lots of rain. A nice change for the dessert!
