Easter Egg Hunt

This year we were lucky enough to have Aunt Sherrie, Grant and Emma come and visit for their spring break.

One of the first things we did was go to the neighborhood egg hunt.

The older boys stayed home but the younger ones had a blast.

They egg hunt was divided into age groups. So Rachel went first.

While we waited for the other kids age group to be called they stood in line to get a balloon animal.

After that they jumped in the bounce house and Debbie got to hold all the animals. They got hot pretty quick and then sat in the shade until it was their turn.

The older kids age group was finally called and they were on the hunt for the special marked eggs to win a prize.

We ended up with 2 lucky kids that round!!! Emma and Grant both won a prize.

Wolf Award

Tonight Ethan was awarded his Wolf at Pack Meeting.

He has worked really hard since he started cub scouts and tonight earned his wolf, and a gold and silver arrow point.

For the Wolf ceremony he first got to pin mom with her mother’s pin.

After that got to put a wolf tail in his back pocket and Ethan had to “catch” him and pull the tail out of his pocket. It was pretty funny to watch.

After he got Bob, his leaders then awarded him his actual Wolf patch.

We are so proud of Ethan and his hard work and excitement about scouting. Keep it up Ethan.

Fathers and Sons Campout

This year our Father and Sons campout was held close to home out at Coons Bluff.  It was nice for the boys to be able to leave after school was out and be able to set up their tent while it was still light out.

They had a nice program on Friday night put on the priest quorum. After breakfast on Saturday the did a little hiking and still got home by lunch time. They all had fun and hope that they go someplace just as fun next year.

Friends

This scene is played out all over our house in many different ways. With chairs or just her “friends” sitting on the couches or in rows on the dresser, or bookcase. Rachel loves to line up all her dolls, and or stuffed animals to “play” with her. Today it was stuffed animals and the chairs from the garage.

Wildlife World Zoo

We spent the day today at the Wildlife World Zoo. Again we had a great time. The weather was perfect, the kids had fun and only one little accident at the end of the day.

We saved the petting zoo for the end of the day. Rachel and Ethan had fun petting goats, deer, and llamas. There was also an areas with some big turtles. It was feeding time and you could feed the turtles. Well Rachel got pretty comfortable with the turtle and wasn’t really paying attention as she was putting some grass out for it and it nipped her finger. She was fine and it didn’t even break the skin, but she was so upset.

We had a lunch in our car since they don’t allow outside food in.
