Derby Night

Derby night was really fun. Grandma and Grandpa Wallace were here so they got to come with us. They boys were all super excited and it was contagious.

They were suppose to remain in their seats unless they were racing. Ethan tried really hard.

The night was a lot of fun and when all was said and done Ethan won fastest Wolf, and 2nd place Overall!!!

Pinewood Derby-Making the car

This was Ethan first year to make a Pinewood Derby Car. He and Bob worked hard together and got it knocked out. I guess I should included Rachel too, since she LOVES Ethan and wants to do everything that he does, she had to help with every step too.

Putting on the Skin: This year when out looking for paint and car stuff they found this cool stuff called a skin that you put on your car instead of paint. So they decided to try it. I think Bob and I will have a hard time going back to paint next year if that is what Ethan wants. This was so fast, so easy, didn’t make a mess, doesn’t smell or require lots of coats or hours.

Other Christmas Break Fun

I forgot to take my camera on lots of the fun stuff we did while family was here during the holidays. Here are a few pictures that Aunt Sherrie took and shared with us.

We did temple lights. The night we went was SO crazy busy, it was the busiest I ever remember. Sorry for the dark pictures even Sherrie’s i-phone has it’s limits.

The picture of Brandon is him by the tree he decorated. Way back in October our youth had the chance to go and help string the lights. He was very proud of it. After we all went to Krispy Crème’s for a little treat!

The girls also all went out one day to get our feet done. Emma and Rachel even had theirs painted to match!

The kids played A LOT! They played rock band, colored a playhouse, went to the park everyday,  played out back, did play-dough and moon dough and just got along GREAT!!

Oh yeah the adults had fun at the park too!

We also got to celebrate Grant’s 6th birthday!

It was a ton of fun having everyone here and we already miss them, but lucky for us Grandma and Grandpa Wallace are coming to visit in a few days so that gives us something to look forward too.

Baseball

Ethan is playing winter baseball this year with NYS (national youth sports). He signed up with his friend Jaxon. He has never done baseball before so it is a little overwhelming, but he hasn’t let it get him down.

He has only had one game so far, but we still have 7 more weeks to go!!!
