This semester Zachary decided to do cross country with school. They have had to meets so far.
He is really enjoying it and is getting better with every meet.
It is so exciting to see him try something new, and even though he may not be the fastest he has such a good attitude.
This year for Thanksgiving we went to St. George Utah. On the way there we made a stop at the Hoover Dam. It was cool to be able to see the new bridge.
We also spent the night in Las Vegas. We met up with my sister and her family and hit the town.
It was so cold and windy that night, but the kids were great.
Then we went on to St. George for a few days. Of course I forgot to take pictures while we were there. The only pictures taken were when Bob took the kids to the dinosaur museum while the girls were shopping on Friday.
On the way home we went a different way home and there was snow on the side of the road, from a storm earlier in the week. Ethan and Rachel had never been in the snow so we stopped to play in it for a few minutes.
At the other end of the spectrum, we passed these cool rocks. Rachel was asleep so we only got the boys in these pictures.
The boys finally finished their science fair projects. they worked really hard, and did such a good job.
Zachary did his project on comparing brands and popping methods of popcorn.
Brandon did his on the effects of soda pop on teeth.

I was lucky enough to have awesome hubby who stepped up this weekend to make it possible for me to go to Sacramento to Emma’s baptism. It was nice to be there for her special day.
While I was gone I got these pictures on my phone!!
My sweet little girl got a hold of my deodorant and decided to put it all over her face.
It was a great weekend and I got to see all of both of our families. Thanks Bob for making it happen.
Happy Birthday Rachel!! It is hard to believe that you are 2!!! You are such a sweet girl, and we couldn’t imagine our family without you!

Tonight we had an early family birthday celebration for Rachel. I will be out of town on her actual birthday(Friday). This was the only night all week we were all home for a major part of the evening. So she got an early birthday this year!
We had a nice dinner, opened presents and had cake and ice cream!!
Now as I write this Rachel is happily playing with all of her new toys!! (The other reason to celebrate early- so that she has new toys to keep her busy while mom is gone)
It was a little reminiscent of the night of her birth with all the election results coming in on TV. All night long as we waited for her to make her arrival all we had to watch was election results!!
Halloween was fun. Saturday night the kids got all dressed up and we went to our ward Trunk or Treat. We hold it at the park and invite the neighborhood. There were a ton of people there, and everyone had a lot of fun.
As you an see we went with a Wizard of Oz theme this year.
It all started with this little one. She saw these red shoes at Wal-Mart a few months ago and got so excited. So we had to do Dorothy.. A have to give Marie a huge thank you for helping me make Rachel’s outfit. I couldn’t find any i like that I was willing to pay the money for. So i bought the fabric and Marie helped me make it for less than $5.
Ethan was our Scarecrow!! He took the scare part of it very serious. He spent the whole weekend trying to jump out and people and scaring them.
Zachary was a great Tin Man!!!
Brandon even though he is to old to Trick or Treat, did get a Ghostbusters shirt!!
Now to hide the candy so it lasts more than a day!
Friday was a big day at school for Ethan.The day stared with a costume parade of all the kindergarten and 1st grade classes. They get to walk the whole school.
Then i had the chance to go and help out with Ethan’s class. We did Halloween math. It was a lot of fun. They had to guess the height, weight and circumference of the pumpkin. they how many seeds were inside. Then we got to cut the pumpkin open and count he seeds.
They had a blast digging the seeds out.
This pumpkin had a ton of seeds we got over 600!!! One of the other moms took the seeds home from all the pumpkins and was going to roast them for the kids to try today.
Then they ended the afternoon with cookies they got to frost themselves.
It was also crazy hair day for spirit day so Ethan has blue hair!!
