Blessing Dress Photo Shoot

Tuesday we went over to Tami Webb's again and had Rachel's pictures done in her blessing dress. We are blessing her on the 8th of February and are so excited for all of the grandparents to come. It should be a very special weekend.

Rachel Talking

Rachel was so happy today. When the boys got home from school she was talking to them. It was so cute. Of course by the time I got the camera we only got the tail end of it. She sure loves them and just lights up when they talk to her.

Mom are you done yet?

Today Rachel and Ethan were both being so good that I thought I would take advantage of her nap time and get some computer work done. After she woke up and was so happy still I got a little more done. Ethan finally asked me, " Are you done YET?"
Feeling guilty I had not done anything with him since he got home from today, we took advantage of the gorgeous weather(72 degrees gotta love AZ in Jan.) and took a walk to the park!!! I am now a cool mom! How easy it is to make a child's day. And I really enjoyed it too.

Quote of the day

I saw this quote on another blog and had to have it.

Rachel looked so cute today I just had to snap a picture and share it!
(She did wear a sweater to church, we took it off at home. It's nice here but not that nice)

Karate Promotion

This week was karate promotion for both Zachary and Brandon.

Zachary was not feeling well, and running a low fever the night of his promotion so we went early and talked to Sensei Darin and he gave Zachary his new belt before the awards started. Thank you Darin! Zachary now is a blue belt.

Brandon also moved up this week. He is now a Purple with black stripe. Sensei Darin pulled him and Bob aside after the awards and challenged Brandon to work extra hard this semester. He said he was so close to Orange if he really extended himself this semester he could skip purple with black stripe and go straight to Orange next time.

Below is a video of Brandon sparring during the demo part of awards last night. Even though I know he knows what he is doing that the teacher is watching as a mom it is hard to watch your child "fight" on purpose. Since Zach was sick we don't have any pictures of him. Sorry Zach! Good job boys, all your hard work and dedication is really paying off. Keep it Up!

2 month check-up

I can't believe that Rachel is already 2 months old. She is smiling all the time, really starting to "talk", and has been sleeping 8 hours at night all week. She is such a delight. Even after 4 shots yesterday, she was her usual happy self. It is hard to imagine what we did for entertainment before she came along. We all just love to try and get her attention and get her to smile. We still haven't captured a great smile on film, but when she smiles she just lights up the room.

Here are her stats:
Weight: 12 lb 6.5 oz.
Length: 24.25 inches
Head: 15.5 inches

She is in the 85% for weight and the 96% for her height.

Brotherly Love

As you can see she loves Brandon! He will always talk to her and hold her and she loves to smile at him. Even when she is fussy sometimes. It comes in handy when I have to make dinner. If he isn't around this is what making dinner tends to look like. I have to "helpers" instead of one.

Boys!

Today while I was putting away the Christmas decorations and taking down the tree, the boys were putting up something of their own.
I thought it was a little quiet up there, and they were getting along really well. But I wasn't about to tempt fate and see what was going on.
I was very surprised when I did go up and this is what I found.

They are having so much fun and getting along so well, I think I will leave it up forever!!! (Well at least until tomorrow).
