Growing Girl

Yesterday I took Rachel over to the Doctors office in the neighborhood and had her weighed just out of curiosity.
She is now 9 lbs 9oz.
At this rate she isn't going to be little very long.

First Real Bath

Tonight we finally gave Rachel her first "real" bath. We have just been doing sponge baths up to now. She did really well. She seemed to enjoy it,and was really calm. Ethan has been asking when we were finally going to "dunk" her. I think he was a little disappointed we didn't really dunk her.

New Favorite Picture

This morning before church we tried to take some pictures to send to grandparents. While we were waiting for the other boys Ethan sat down to hold Rachel and it was so sweet. He really loves her and is always asking if he can wake her up. He will sit by the bassinet and wait for her to wake up as she starts to stir. She is lucky to have so many great big brothers.

Possible Carrer Path?

Thursday and Friday the Middle School performed the yearly musical. This year it was "Honk".
Brandon considered trying out for a part, but wasn't sure if he was up for it. So instead he decided to go for a part on the technical crew so he could see how the process worked.
He did publicity before the show which included making the programs. Then for the performances he was the light and sound man!!! He got to sit in the sound booth, wear a head set to communicate with the stage manager backstage, and work with the sound man at the high school where the performance was at.
Last night Zachary and I went and saw it and it was so cute, with exceptional lighting!!(Bob and Ethan are going tonight)
The sound engineer said that Brandon was a natural.
He is already talking about trying out for a part next year and they haven't even had the final performance yet!!

Our budding Chef

Yesterday Ethan and Grandma made some homemade wheat bread. He was such a cute little helper. Since his Mom isn't much of a baker it was really exciting to get to help make the bread. He had so much fun that today they made zucchini bread.

First Photo Shoot

On Saturday Rachel went to her first photo shoot. We had Tami Webb take her first pictures. She did so well. It is so much fun to do this sort of thing with a little girl. So many choices of clothes, headbands, and jewelery.
Tami did a great job if you are ever looking for a photographer. Check her out at www.tamiwebb.com

Proud Big Brother

Ethan is such a proud big brother even if he won't admit to it!!! We forgot to get this shirt out to wear to the hospital, but we found it this weekend and he had to wear it. (All 3 boys have worn it)

First Bath

Friday night we gave Rachel her first "bath". She was such a little trooper. It was a little crazy with all of our helpers looking on.
Then partway through the bath- Disaster- Ethan was running around the family room and fell hitting his mouth on the coffee table and blood everywhere. Luckily Grandma was here so we had enough people to cover both kids!!!!

We are home

We made it home from the hospital on Thursday late afternoon. I am so glad to be home. To have my own bed,and my nice soft couch. The hospital was just not that comfortable.
We are all doing well, and are adjusting to late night feedings, and life in general.
Rachel has a little bit of jaundice and they sent us home supplementing with 1oz of formula after every feeding until her appointment on Tuesday, so that is kind of a pain, but she is looking better already.
I will be posting lots more pictures as I feel up to it over the next few days, so check back.
Thank you for all of your comments and support and to Aunt Sherrie, for getting her pictures up so fast.

Rachel's First Video

She likes to smack her lips and stick out her tongue.

Welcome Rachel Ann Wallace!

Rachel Ann Wallace was born this morning at 5:55am. She came into this world weighing a healthy 8 lbs. 2 oz, and 21 1/2 inches long. Debbie and Bob are doing well, trying to catch up on sleep after being awake for 30 hours. Rachel has long dark hair (mostly in the back), long finernails that already need to be cut, and long fingers, which she likes to keep up by her mouth. Debbie says she is a strong nurser, and has already filled her diaper twice (I guess she is already trying to keep up with her brothers)! Ethan and Grandma Redfearn have been up to visit and Brandon and Zachary are itching to get out of school so they can go back up with dad. The whole family should be home together no later than Friday evening.
